OCOF's Annual "Day Party With A Purpose"
The OCOF is widely known for its signature fundraiser, a “Hoops” Day Party hosted annually during the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament. As originators of the “Day Party” concept, the OCOF’s event takes place each year on the final Saturday of the legendary basketball tournament.

After starting as a small gathering of friends in a Richmond, Va. hotel room, the day party quickly outgrew larger venues in successive cities. When the CIAA tournament moved to Charlotte, N.C. in 2006, so did the OCOF’s day party. Since then, an average of 2,800 patrons have attended the festive event, enabling the OCOF to raise thousands of dollars to help educate dozens of college students throughout the country.
