About Us

Established 1993, the Original Circle of Friends™ (OCOF) is a philanthropic, non-profit organization. The founding members of OCOF hail from various cities throughout the US and are college educated African American women. OCOF’s mission is to provide financial support to college students to help ease the financial burden associated with actively seeking a higher education for the advancement of themselves and their respective communities.

OCOF has established an endowment fund at North Carolina Central University and has also contributed thousands of dollars toward tuition, books, living expenses and emergency funds to deserving students in need. OCOF also makes monetary donations to OCOF member schools, CIAA schools and to the CIAA Commission.
